diy studio
thank you youtube for free construction lessons.
i’m gathering tips on studio design and acoustic control for our new listening room / theater / den of awesomeitude. it should be completely enclosed and built off of the floor. so far, i plan to use the basic wood and drywall method but without right-angles or parallel faces. i haven’t chosen any sound dampening materials yet. most are expensive, so i’m looking at getting the most from design before just throwing cash at it. some friends are giving me advice in general construction and acoustic design for now. next, i plan to use sketchup to make a model that i can walk through.
any advice appreciated and could be delivered over a decent beer.
