In mexican restaurants. . .

it is customary to bring a portable credit card machine to the table instead of taking your card away from the table. it is to prevent credit card cloning. at lunch (best molé ever), the waitron apologized that the portable was not working and asked if i still wanted to use a card.

… is very formal. they go for the full suit with attention to detail. fitted and pressed. kinda makes me interested in getting one. …. not that i’d wear it.

mexico week

heading to mexico city in the morning. cabbing from waltham at 4:30am. o.O i’ll work for four days with a customer and have about two full days there to play. for the unpaid, extra days, i used couchsurfing.com to find “gerardo” who says he can host and show me around. first time using couchsurfing. going minimal this time. no big cam or travel bike, just a small backpack with skinny pants, dress shirt, laptop and a sci-fi short stories compilation.

yeah fulfilling wanderlust.
