i just played around with an audio app (after not doing so for a long time), and i felt a surge of motivation. my head wants to make audio. … or maybe it was all the rice and MSG.
how ironic. my XP blue-screened while i was downloading MC Frontalot. (nerdcore)
he used pictures only to create one of his albums, and he doesn’t use the 12 tone scale (not often anyway). it’s “experimental”, but i don’t find it obnoxious like most in that category.
…. i wonder if there’s a way to dance to it….

this is a dated article from her about being an artist in the corporate recording industry. it’s not whining, and it’s decently written. she gives an outline of how the industry makes money. i like her line to other musicians, “I also know how many times I have heard a song on the radio that I loved only to buy the record and have the album be a piece of crap. If you’re afraid of your own filler then I bet you’re afraid of Napster.” i’d like to see her follow up to this now.. after seven years.
i can turn up my music here.
it’s ok.
it’s really OK!
what??
it’s OK TO TURN UP..
WHAT?
it’s beautiful for sounding so horrible. also, they are aliens.
i got to tour waltz audio studios over lunch. they were selling some leftover acoustic dampening materials on CL, so i picked some up and asked to look around. the studio manager gave me some design tips. fun fun. really nice place.
